What's Happening In The Art Room?
In the HP Campus School art room your child will be creating art based on the National Visual Arts Standards where our focus is to CREATE, PRESENT, RESPOND, and CONNECT. We will be creating art in different mediums including: drawing, painting, pastels, printmaking, weaving, and ceramics. Due to limitations this year with sharing supplies in the Art Room we will be making modifications so that your child will be able to used these different mediums through out the school year. Please be mindful of your child's Art Schedule for the week. At this time we are unable to use Art Smocks in the classroom.
Where Is My Child's Artwork?
Your child's artwork will stay in the Art Room so that I can display artwork through out the school. I also keep artwork through out the year so that I can use it for Rutherford County Schools and Campus School Art Shows. At this time I do not know if we will be having an Art Show this year but I will be holding onto Art just in case. You can expect your child to bring their artwork home at the end of the school year in a Portfolio.
What If My Child Is A Distant Learner?
If you child is a Distant Learner, Art Lessons will be uploaded to Kiddom on Monday or Tuesday for the week. Your child can send a photo to me via Kiddom or to [email protected]. I do my best to respond to your child's questions and give feedback to them about their artwork within one business day. Art Lessons that are uploaded to Kiddom mirror what we are doing in the classroom for each grade level. If you have any questions about Distance Learning for Art please contact me via my school email address.
